#StatMan Three | The Timbers out-possessed Seattle in all three of their rivalry battles this year

In the third and final regular-season match between the two sides in 2017, the visiting Portland Timbers secured a 1-1 draw with Seattle Sounders FC Sunday night at CenturyLink Field. Here are three #StatMan takeaways from #SEAvPOR.

16 With his penalty-kick goal, midfielder Diego Valeri tallied his 16th goal of the season, tying him for most MLS goals by a Timbers player in a single season. It is the third straight season the Timbers have had a 16-goal scorer as Fanendo Adi reached the mark in 2015 and 2016. The tally also marked Valeri's sixth straight match with a goal.

52 Portland finished the match with 52 percent of the possession against the Sounders. In all three matches versus Seattle this season, the Timbers have out-possessed their Cascadia rival.

95.5 Midfielder Darlington Nagbe finished the match completing 95.5 percent of his passes, connecting on 63 of his 66 attempted passes. He was credited with two tackles, one chance created and four fouls suffered. Nagbe leads MLS this season in games with at least 95 percent passing on 50 or more attempts with five such games.
