The Portland Timbers 2017 season came to an end Sunday night with a 2-1 loss to the Houston Dynamo at Providence Park in the Audi 2017 MLS Cup Playoffs Western Conference Semifinals. Here are three #StatMan takeaways from the match. 


2 For the second time in his Timbers career, Dairon Asprilla scored a goal in MLS postseason play. Asprilla is the fifth Timbers player with two playoff goals for the club and ninth player with multiple playoff goals in all eras of the Timbers. 


5Diego Valeri his fifth career assist in the MLS Cup playoffs. The Timbers midfielder is tied for third-most MLS playoff assists among all active players. 


61 With the goal, the Timbers finish the 2017 season with 61 goals in MLS matches. It is the second-most goals a Timbers team has ever scored in all eras of the club.
