Returning home after two road matches, T2 play host to Orange County SC at Providence Park on Sunday, Sept. 8. Beginning at 2 p.m. (Pacific), Sunday’s match will feature a live stream on ESPN+.

Portland is coming off a 3-1 road win against Reno 1868 FC at Greater Nevada Field on Aug. 31, in which midfielder Carlos Anguiano tallied his first professional goal. Dairon Asprilla has made eight appearances for T2 in 2019 on loan from the Timbers and leads the team with seven goals. Foster Langsdorf and Ryan Sierakowski rank tied for second with six goals apiece in 20 and 16 starts, respectively. Brayan Hurtado and Todd Wharton rank tied for third with five goals each. Modou Jadama ranks sixth on the club with four goals, while Eryk Williamson and Gio Calixtro rank tied for seventh on the club with four goals scored. Marvin Loría and Cristian Ojeda have each scored two goals, while Nathan Smith, Zach Kobayashi and Carlos Anguiano have scored one goal during the 2019.

Timbers Academy on display 
Six Timbers Academy products appeared in the win against Reno 1868 FC. Anguiano made his 14th start for T2, while Gio Calixtro logged his 19th appearance of the season. Timbers Academy midfielder Dyson Clapier (17 yrs., 3 months, 16 days) made his T2 debut, becoming the third-youngest player in team history to start a match for the club. Timbers Academy defender Aldair Sanchez (17 yrs., 1 month, 25 days) became the fourth-youngest player to make an appearance for T2, logging 10 minutes off the bench on his debut. Caleb Kiner logged his fourth consecutive start dating back to Aug. 11. Notably, Timbers Academy midfielder Gerardo Durán (15 yrs, 10 months,) became the youngest player to appear in a match for T2, logging 28 minutes as a second-half substitute on his debut.
