#StatMan Three | Ketterer delivers PK save and shutout in debut

Logan Ketterer, Timbers vs San Jose, 05.15.21

The Portland Timbers waltzed past the host San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday night at PayPal Park with a 2-0 victory. Here are three key #StatMan takeaways from the match.

1 In his MLS debut, on-loan goalkeeper Logan Ketterer became the first Timbers goalkeeper to save a penalty kick and have a shutout in the same match. Ketterer made four saves including multiple denials of all-time leading MLS goalscorer, Chris Wondolowski, one of which was a penalty kick.

5 Just five minutes into the match, Yimmi Chara scored the fifth MLS goal of his Timbers career. Of the five league matches that Chara has scored in, three of them have been at San Jose.

2 Midfielder Eryk Williamson delivered the assist on both of Portland's goals. The performance was the first multi-assist match of Williamson's career.
