Portland Timbers forward Jaroslaw Niezgoda just doesn’t miss. Subbing into the match only a minute earlier, the Polish striker headed down a Sebastián Blanco corner kick to score to give the Timbers a 1-0 win over Inter Miami CF.
But let’s look at his efficiency in front of goal.
Since arriving ahead of the 2020 season, Niezgoda has taken 14 total shots in MLS regular-season play.
Of those 14 shots attempted, 11 have been on target – an 78.6% on target rate.
Of those 11 on target, NINE have been goals – an 81.8% success rate.
In 2021 alone, since coming back from an ACL injury, Niezgoda has come off the bench to take two shots…both goals.
