The Storyline

Portland enter Wednesday's match in seventh place in the Western Conference (11-10-9, 42pts) while Vancouver are in second (16-6-7, 55pts).

In 38 MLS regular-season matchups between the two sides, the Timbers hold a 17-13-8 record against the Vancouver Whitecaps and are 7-8-3 when playing them on the road. The Cascadia rivals will square off for the second time this year after Vancouver earned a 4-1 win over Portland in its season-opening match at Providence Park on February 23.

The last time the two sides faced off at BC Place, Portland and Vancouver shared points with a 1-1 draw on September 28, 2024. Leading the current Timbers roster against their opponent, Felipe Mora has notched five goals and one assist in 11 appearances against the Whitecaps. Notably, Mora has tallied five of those goal contributions (4G, 1A) in Portland’s last six matches against Vancouver.
