93.1Accuracy – Midfielder Lindsey Horan completed 27 of her 29 attempted passes against the Red Stars on Wednesday, for a passing accuracy of 93.1 percent. It was the first time that Horan has ever had a passing accuracy of better than 90 percent in a Thorns match and is the first midfielder to accomplish the feat (minimum 25 passes) for the Thorns since Allie Long on June 28, 2017.

5Chance creator – In her first two matches as a Thorns player, defender Christen Westphal has been credited with five chances created. Heading into the Challenge Cup, Westphal's career high as a pro for chances created was two, a number she bested against North Carolina (three) and matched against Chicago (two).

180Ironwoman – Goalkeeper Bella Bixby is the lone Thorns player to have played all 180 minutes of the club's first two matches of the NWSL Challenge Cup. In her debut against the Courage, Bixby made four saves.

3/9Quick Succession â€“ Portland's match against Washington will be the club's third game in a nine-game span. It will mark the first time in team history that Thorns FC have played three games in less than 10 days with all the matches being away from Portland.

20X2Coaching Familiarity â€“ Before becoming the manager of the Thorns, Mark Parsons was head coach of the Spirit. Parsons is one of two managers to have at least 20 victories with two different NWSL clubs, alongside current U.S. Women's National Team manager Vlatko Andonovski.
