Saturday's featured Portland Timbers Food Cart Alliance member is PoppedART. PoppedART will be serving their signature kettlecorn bowls topped with nontraditional toppings such as salted caramel drizzle, bacon and maple, and sweet jalapeño lime at the Soccer City Grill concession stand above Section 93.
Cole and Cheryl Akeman operate their cart at SW 9th and Washington in downtown Portland. Cole says they are very excited to be part of the Portland Thorns game on Saturday.
"Serving our PoppedArt at JELD-WEN [Field] is an exciting opportunity to introduce ourselves to the people of Portland," said Akeman. "We feel honored to be a part of Portland's vibrant food scene and are looking forward to seeing all of you!"
Fans can choose from the following menu options:
Salted Caramel Drizzle: Classic kettle corn with warm caramel sauce and a pinch of salt.
Sweet Jalapeño Lime: Sweet and spicy with a hint of lime.
Bacon and Maple: Real bacon bits and warm maple syrup.
