After a midweek CONCACAF Champions League match in Costa Rica, the Portland Timbers returned home with a 2-1 victory over the Philadelphia Union in MLS regular-season play Saturday at Providence Park. Here are three key #StatMan takeaways from #PORvPHI.


2Darren Mattocks delivered assists on both of the club's goals, his first multi-assist game of his MLS career. Additionally, Mattocks was credited four chances created in the match, also a career high. 


6Diego Chara pestered the Union all over the field finishing with a game-high six tackles. Chara also provided a spark going forward, completing 84 percent of his passes. 


15 With a goal in four straight home matches, forward Fanendo Adi has brought his regular-season total to 15 goals scored. Adi is just the 16th player in MLS history to tally 15 goals in consecutive seasons.
