The ECNL All-Conference and Player of the Year winners have been announced, and an all-time high of 13 Thorns FC Academy players were selected.

The Portland Thorns FC Academy is making new strides in the growth and development of their program. In mid-August, the ECNL (Elite Clubs National League) announced the winners of its All-Conference teams and Player of the Year honors. The awards were announced for the U-15 through U-19 age groups.

The announcement highlighted the work and progression of the Thorns Academy as a record 13 players were selected to teams across four age levels. The all-time high of accolades had multiple all-conference selections at different levels, with two U-15, three U-16, five U-17, and three U-19 players making all-conference selections. Thorns Academy U-17 midfielder Shaela Bradley won the distinction of being the ECNL Northwest Conference Player of the Year in addition to her all-conference selection, but that would not be all.

Bradely was also named to the 2022-23 ECNL All-America team, earning her place among the best in the country in her age group. The midfielder who will graduate next year from La Center High School in Washington has committed to Rutgers University where she will continue her education and soccer development at the collegiate level.
