The U.S. U-17 National Team continues its preparation for the Concacaf U-17 Championship with a training camp at Nova Southeastern Univ. in Florida from Jan. 5-13. Among head coach Gonzalo Segares’ 23-player squad for camp is Timbers Academy’s Sawyer Jura (pictured above; No. 3).

The camp in Florida is the final training before the team competes in the U-17 Concacaf Championship held in Guatemala in February. The tournament will qualify four teams to the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Peru.

Jura, from Bend, Ore., is one of 14 players in camp that participated with the U-17s in the Vaclav Jezek Tournament in the Czech Republic in September. He participated in his first U.S. U-17s training camp last August.
