PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Timbers announced today that the club has signed midfielder Andrés Flores and defender Modou Jadama. Additionally, the club has re-signed defender/midfielder Bill Tuiloma, with the New Zealand international set to enter his second season with the Timbers.

“As we continue preparations for the 2018 season, we are pleased to add Andrés Flores and Modou Jadama to the roster, and to welcome back Bill Tuiloma for a second year,” said Gavin Wilkinson, general manager and president of soccer for the Timbers. “These players are very important additions to the roster and we look forward to each player’s contributions to the group this season.”

A native of San Salvador, El Salvador, Flores, 27, joins Portland after playing four seasons under Timbers head coach Giovanni Savarese for NASL side New York Cosmos from 2014-17, registering 10 goals and 18 assists in 83 appearances (61 starts). At the international level, Flores has been capped 59 times by the El Salvador National Team.

“Adding these three players to our team will provide quality competition at a number of positions and we are pleased to welcome them to the club for the 2018 season,” said Savarese.

Jadama, 23, signed with USL side Tulsa Roughnecks FC in March 2017 and appeared in 34 matches (32 starts), scoring two goals across all competitions. Prior to joining Roughnecks FC, Jadama played on loan with Coquimbo Unido in Primera B de Chile during the 2016-17 season, appearing in four matches (3 starts). A native of Sierra Kunda, Gambia, Jadama made his professional debut on July 30, 2015, with Chilean club Colo-Colo in the 2015 Copa Chile.

Tuiloma, 22, re-signs with the Timbers after making 11 appearances (11 starts) and recording three goals for T2 in 2017. At the international level, Tuiloma has earned 23 caps for the New Zealand National Team.
