PORTLAND, Ore.
- Midfielder Scott Benedetti was named to the A-League Team of the Week for Week 19, it was announced Tuesday.
Benedetti, 37, tallied an assist and scored his first goal of the season for a three-point outing in Thursday’s 5-0 victory over Puerto Rico.
In four years with the Timbers, Benedetti ranks among the career-leaders in minutes played while collecting five goals and five assists.
It is the first time this season he has garnered the honor.
