PORTLAND, Ore.
- Portland Timbers midfielder Hugo Alcaraz-Cuellar was named to the USL First Division Team of the Week for Week 19, it was announced today.
The Timbers’ all-time assist leader with 37 over four seasons, Alcaraz-Cuellar tallied his league-leading 10th assist of the season in the first half of the Timbers’ 2-1 win at Atlanta on Sunday.
The league’s Player of the Week for the inclusive span of Aug. 1-7, Alcaraz-Cuellar has garnered the weekly honor three times this year.
Portland (8-8-8, 32pts) continues its four-game trip vs. Virginia Beach at 4:30 p.m. on Friday and against Richmond at 4 p.m. on Saturday. Both kickoff times are Pacific.
