Where In The World: Steph Catley and Amber Brooks on the score sheet, Nadine Angerer season debut for Brisbane Roar

Thorns FC defender Steph Catley tallied her first goal of the season as she helped the Melbourne Victory to a 4-2 win against Canberra United.

Catley and the Victory currently sit tied for third in the W-League table just three points off the pace of Sydney FC and Perth Glory with nine points each. Melbourne clashes with Sydney FC on Monday.

The Frauen Bundesliga teams were in action this past weekend as Bayern Munich competed in the German Cup. Thorns FC midfielder Amber Brooks featured in round two of the tournament as Bayern recorded a 9-1 victory against Mainz. Brooks played 69 minutes and scored in 41st minute of the match on Sunday. Brooks and Bayern return to action in the Frauen Bundesliga on Thursday against Bayer Leverkusen. The game will be streamed live here. Bayern is currently third in the table through four games this season. It's a double week for Bayern with a match on Sunday against MSV Duisburg.

Thorns FC goalkeeper Nadine Angerer made her season debut for the Brisbane Roar over the weekend. Angerer helped the Roar earn a 3-1 victory, its first of the season, over the Newcastle Jets. Brisbane is back in action on Saturday against Canberra United.

The U.S. Women's National Team is two weeks away from the start of the CONCACAF Championships and today announced a four-team tournament in Brazil this December. The tournament will run from Dec. 10-21 as the United States will take on Brazil, Argentina and China PR. For more information, click here.
