The home cooking continued for the Portland Timbers Friday night, as the hometown club beat the Chicago Fire go continue its impressive record at Providence Park this season. The Timbers are now unbeaten in its last eight matches in Portland with a record of 6-0-2. Here are three #StatMan takeaways from the match. 


10Fanendo Adi registered his 10th goal of the season, becoming the third MLS Timbers player to reach double-digit goals in a single season, joining Maxi Urruti and Diego Valeri. The goal was also third game-winning goal in the club's last ten matches. 


0 For the second consecutive match, Portland held its opponent scoreless. With the shutout, the Timbers lead MLS with 10 shutouts this season and Adam Kwarasey, who leads all league goalkeepers with 10 clean sheets this season, became just the fourth Timbers goalkeeper in club history with double-digit shutouts in a single season, matching Josh Wicks, Steve Cronin and Donovan Ricketts. 


4Lucas Melano again contributed off the bench in his third match for Portland, tying a club game-high with four shots. In his 72 minutes of action this season, Melano has fired eight shots and drawn a penalty kick.
