Portland Timbers forward Foster Langsdorf has been named to the USL Team of the Week for Week 10 of the 2018 season after registering the first hat trick in team history in T2’s 7-3 win over LA Galaxy II at Providence Park, as part of Providence Health & Fitness Day.
Langsdorf now ranks tied for third in the USL with five goals, as he led T2 to a club record seven goals scored. Langsdorf scored his first goal of the match in the 25th minute after he finished from a tight angle on the right edge of the penalty area.
Portland took a 2-0 lead in the 43rd minute when Langsdorf, who was on the receiving end of defender Jimmy Mulligan’s pass into the six-yard box, slotted his finish past Galaxy II goalkeeper Eric Lopez.
Langsdorf completed his hat trick when he converted his first penalty kick of 2018 in the 57th minute to give T2 a 3-1 lead.
Next up, Portland will host Real Monarchs SLC in USL play at Providence Park on Saturday, May 26. Beginning at 2 p.m. (Pacific), the match against Real Monarchs will be streamed live on ESPN+.
