Midfielder Marvin LorĂa was named the to the USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 2 of the 2019 season after his two-goal performance in T2’s 3-1 win over San Antonio FC on March 16.
Making his second appearance for T2 on loan from the Timbers, LorĂa scored his first goal of the match after he pounced on a loose ball outside the six-yard box, curling a low shot that was deflected off of San Antonio FC goalkeeper Matt Cardone into the lower left corner of the net in the 32nd minute.
LorĂa notched his second goal of the night after he received a back-heeled pass from midfielder Eryk Williamson and blasted a powerful, low shot at the near post to register his first career brace in the 77th minute.
Up next, T2 play host to Las Vegas Lights FC in the home opener at Merlo Field on Saturday, March 23. Beginning at 7 p.m. (Pacific), the match will be streamed live on ESPN+.
