RCTID Thiago, 2019 eMLS Cup, 3.30.19

Watch Edgar "RCTIDThiago" Guerrero take part in the Conference Semifinals of the 2019 eMLS Cup, presented by Playstation on Saturday beginning at 4pm PT.

UPDATE: In a hard-fought and closely contested match, Edgar "RCTIDThiago" Guerrero lost 1-0 to FC Dallas' AlanAvi in the 2019 eMLS Cup Western Conference Semifinals. Avi, who had two shots all game, scored in the first half on a shot that Portland goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois got an arm to but the ball agonizingly dribbled past him into the back corner of the net.

Pressing for an equalizer, RCTIDThiago came close in the 78th minute with a mad scramble in front of the Dallas net that Avi managed to clear and then, in the second minute of second-half stoppage time, Cristiano Ronaldo had his breakaway shot saved by Dallas' own Courtois to deny Guerrero.

HOW HE GOT HERE: RCTIDThiago downed San Jose Earthquakes' CaliSCG, 3-1 to advance to the Western Conference Semifinals and face FC Dallas' AlanAvi. Watch the archive of the stream here.

Watch to watch for

Prior to the streamed portion of the event, where the eMLS Cup champion will be crowned, all 22 eMLS players (each representing a different MLS team) will compete in one last regular season, where they will compete against opponents from the opposite conference for the first time. Once that regular season is finished, the top five players in each conference – based on their aggregated record from League Series One and Two plus the eMLS Cup regular season – will qualify for the next phase of the tournament. The remaining players will compete in a Last Chance Qualifying tournament, with the winner from each conference also moving on.
